Professional Portfolio Reminders and Explainer Video

We have received a few questions about the Portfolio requirement, so please check out this short explainer video from Assistant Dean Keehn and read the items below.

  1. Read the portfolio guidelines closely! Each program has its own guidelines.
  2. Professors have indicated in their syllabi which assignments are portfolio eligible. In addition, we have posted on the Kroc Student Resources site all of the eligible assignments. If you want to use an assignment that is not indicated to be portfolio-eligible, please petition the Kroc School professor who assigned it for inclusion.
    • Portfolio Eligible Assignments from 2019-2020;
    • Portfolio Eligible Assignments for 2020-2021
  3. To include an assignment in your portfolio, you must a) have earned a B or better AND b) obtained your professor’s sign-off to include it in your portfolio. The professor whose sign off you require is the professor who gave you the assignment. If you do not receive immediate sign-off on your assignment, your professors will work with you on 1 round of revisions to get it up to the standard. You have until the end of the next semester to complete your revisions and obtain sign-off.
  4. We created Portfolio Tracking tools to help you track your progress. Make note of whether you’ve received your instructor’s sign off in your tracking sheet.
  5. Speak with your faculty advisor for additional guidance and to get their input on how you are curating your portfolio.
  6. If you are graduating in May 2021 and not yet registered for KROC 597 Professional Portfolio in the Spring semester, please remember to enroll in one of the two sections.

Please be in touch if you have any questions. Reach out to Assistant Dean Keehn over email or to schedule a meeting.
