Writing Resources

There are two resources on campus to help with your writing needs: The SOLES Graduate Student Writing Center and the University of San Diego’s Writing Center.

The SOLES Graduate Student Writing Center‘s mission is to provide all students, of all skill levels and at all stages of the writing process, with access to free writing coaching to support the discovery and development of their potential as emerging writers. Visit their website for more details.

The SOLES Graduate Student Writing Center is a virtual space designed to accommodate both online or on-campus graduate students for whom distance or busy schedules conflict with coming to campus. The Center’s free web-based service provides students with feedback on digital versions of their assignments and offers one-on-one coaching sessions via remote conferencing.

The University of San Diego’s Writing Center is an inclusive community serving undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines. In one-on-one consultations, our experienced consultants provide critical reflection and constructive feedback during the multiple stages of the writing process, from planning to composing to revision. In this process, it is our goal to help students develop strategies for improving their writing, for gaining confidence in their writing, and for developing educational independence.
