3.17.2020 Important Updates from Academic Programs

Dear Kroc School students

We hope you are all coping well with the transition. We’re writing with some important reminders and updates.

  • Let us know if you need support. If you are experiencing any challenges with USD bureaucracy or other issues that are causing you hardship during this time, please contact the team for assistance. The Graduate Student office has extensive support for students experiencing hardship. Monitor their newsletters.
  • The Academic Programs team is working remotely but fully available. While we are working from home, we remain fully available to you. You can call us at our regular office lines, as the calls are forwarded to us at home. If you can’t immediately reach us, email us and we’ll get back to you ASAP. We can respond over the phone, email or zoom.
  • Some faculty are teaching online this week. If you are in the midst of transition and unable to join class, please let your instructor know. They are recording lectures and will accommodate you.
  • USD health, wellness, and counseling services are available. Confidential counseling support is available 24/7 at (619) 260-4655, please call this number if you have any mental health concerns. If you have physical health concerns, contact (619) 260-4595 during business hours. Visit sandiego.edu/health-insurance for more information on physical health services. See the array of wellness check-in services available here
  • For students continuing in AY20-21, the deadline to pick Portfolio or Capstone is extended. You now have until March 31st to complete the survey. This does not apply to students graduating in May 2020.
  • Remember to refer to the University’s COVID-19 site for up to date information. And please check the Kroc Student Resources site–we will continue post all Kroc School-specific updates here.

We are committed to your wellness and success. Please contact us if you need anything.

Sincerely,

Emily Keehn
Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs
