Is the World On Fire Podcast – Recruiting for new members!

To incoming and continuing Kroc students: 

Hello Kroc Family!

Are you interested in representing the Kroc School and getting the opportunity  to interview experts and peers in the field of peace studies/social change through becoming a co-host and podcast fellow for the award winning podcast, “Is the World on Fire?”

If so, look no further! The “Is the World on Fire” team is looking for two new podcast fellows! Each fellow receives a small tuition-based stipend and will have the chance to bring key speakers to campus or invite them on zoom to interview 2+ times a semester.

In addition, we will also be offering part time/guest host opportunities to those applicants who exemplify the spirit of the podcast and show great skill during our audition process.

Each co-host is responsible for:

  • 2 Episodes a semester (part time or guest hosts are not required to fulfill this requirement)
  • Inviting new guest to the podcast to discuss different approaches to change, peace, or justice
  • Drafting Interview outlines and questions for every episode you will be hosting
  • Coordinating logistics and supporting the production team, editors, and marketing team promote the podcast
  • Attending bi-weekly remote progress report and check-in meetings
  • The chance to be invited as a moderator on Kroc School events/lectures. (exact details TBD)
  • Preparing the following cohort’s audition process and hand-off

The interview process will include a mock episode and completing a few spoken and analytical exercises.

The deadline to apply is July 21, and auditions will be held the week of July 24th.
