Kosovo International Summer Academy 2022

This July (12 – 22) and August (10 – 20), Kosovo International Summer Academy (KSA) will organize will organize Part I and Part II of its 9th edition of KSA2022, in Prishtina, Kosovo, with a special focus in “Peace building in post-conflict areas – Diplomacy, Leadership and Negotiations”, that will be realized by Kosovo Center for Diplomacy. The uniqueness of Kosovo International Summer Academy is the association with the professors and guest lecturers from the world’s top universities, government officials, and ambassadors. KSA will be welcoming experts from different levels that will be teaching and sharing their academic and professional experiences with our participants, as well as will give the chance to our participants to take the information from the first hand.  Kosovo International Summer Academy elaborate different topics on economics, politics, diplomacy, professional etiquette and protocol, leadership, peaceful conflict resolution, EU Integration process, international law, human rights, international justice, international security and the role of civil society in building peace in interactive lectures with diplomats, high level officials, representatives of civic society and prestigious local and international organizations.

KSA staff is working intensively to make sure that high-ranking officials of Kosovo and representatives of diplomatic missions in Kosovo will address the participants.

2022 Summer Delegates Program

The Center for Global Development (CGD), an independent, non-partisan, non-profit policy research organization in Washington, DC is now accepting applicants for its annual CGD Summer Delegates Program.

The CGD Summer Delegates Program is CGD’s initiative aimed at establishing the next wave of young leaders in economic equality and global development. Students will participate in a structured, paid, part-time internship program that will expose them to our work in various issue areas; provide an opportunity for professional development; and invite them to consider a career in development. Through this 8-week program, CGD hopes to gain diverse perspectives and build a new network of young professionals who may become part of the development community. This year’s Program will take place 100% virtually.


The Students for Economic Justice (SEJ) Summer Internship is a full-time, $16/hr, 6-week program that empowers the next generation of social justice leaders through leadership and professional development opportunities. SEJ gives undergraduate college students organizing experience in a current San Diego campaign for economic justice. Interns receive trainings from key labor and community leaders throughout San Diego to build an intersectional approach to economic and social justice. During the program duration, SEJ Interns are placed at sites (i.e. labor unions, community organizations, or advocacy groups) to gain hands-on organizing experience.


Ashoka Latin America Intern

Ashoka is looking for undergraduate and graduate students to contribute to a database of social entrepreneurship and conduct analyses for advancing the field of social entrepreneurship and collective impact. The intern will map social entrepreneurs from Latin America and analyze their innovations. The intern will also contribute to knowledge products, such as online courses, innovation sector reports, and innovation diagnostics tools.


Internship – US Department of Justice

CRS is seeking students from diverse academic backgrounds interested in working with “America’s Peacemaker” in communities across the nation. Through CRS’s internship program, students gain first-hand experience working for a federal agency with nationwide impact – helping prevent and respond to conflict, tension, hate crimes, and other challenges facing our communities today.


Internship: Mosaic Outreach & Marketing

We are seeking interns to take the lead on shaping Mosaic, a new sub-brand that aims to support youth activists to translate their activism into systemic change through collaborative action — working across divides without compromising your values and beliefs. Through social media content and virtual skills-building experience Mosaic Power, we help activists who are facing pushback / backlash in their efforts to create change learn how to use collaborative — not just adversarial — tactics to uncover breakthrough, win-win solutions and catalyze enduring change that has widespread support.


Unconventional International (UI)

Unconventional International (UI) is seeking visionary and collaborative young women leaders to join our team. Our communications intern will work in collaboration with our leadership circle to help us expand our outreach and make us shine! San Diego Diplomacy Council Gain hands-on experience in public diplomacy while learning about the work of a nonprofit in San Diego. Our volunteer intern positions are for college juniors through graduate-level students.


Call for Applicants – Paid Student Researcher Position

Dr. Kate DeConinck and Dr. Mike Williams are the co-directors of the Urgent Challenges Collective at the University of San Diego. The Collective is an initiative that supports research, teaching, and advocacy work on issues related to homelessness and housing in San Diego. The Collective was recently awarded a grant through the SD County Board of Supervisors Community Enhancement program to conduct timely research on issues related to housing and homelessness in San Diego. As part of this funding, our pilot research study on the topic of “Homelessness, Law Enforcement, and Citations” from Spring 2021 was selected to receive additional funding for a second phase of research. We are seeking two student researchers who will assist with this project and research tasks during the summer of 2022. 


Rotary Peace Fellowships

The Rotary Foundation is now accepting applications for the fully-funded 2023 Rotary Peace Fellowship. Up to 130 peace and development leaders are selected globally every year to earn either a master’s degree or a post-graduate diploma in peace and conflict studies at one of seven Rotary Peace Centers at leading universities around the world. Application deadline May 15, 2022.


The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship

A full-time, six-to-nine month fellowship in Washington, DC. Outstanding individuals will be selected to work with nonprofit, public-interest organizations addressing peace and security issues. This opportunity provides recent college and graduate school alumni with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security.

Scoville Fellows will choose to work with one of the twenty-six organizations participating in the program. Fellows may undertake a variety of activities, including research, writing, and organizing that support the goals of their host organization.

Fellows receive a salary of $3,400 per month and basic health insurance compensation, plus travel expenses to Washington, DC. The program also provides $1,000 per fellow for professional development to attend relevant conferences or meetings that could cover travel, accommodations, and registration fees, or to take a language or policy course. Consortium Speaker Series

The Consortium’s Speaker Series brings an international roster of frontline practitioners, reflective activists and engaged scholars to University of Massachusetts Boston’s campus. Their talks address the complex realities of women’s and men’s lives and livelihoods in conflict-affected areas, the challenges of trying to bring feminist commitments into security policy and humanitarian practice, and the ways in which gender analysis can and must transform resolutely “gender-blind” paradigms of conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
