My name is Kelly Wlodychak. Weird last name, I know. It is pronounced W-la-da-check. Supposedly, it’s Russian, but it was changed when my great grandparents came through Ellis Island. I am from Vienna, Virginia which is about 20 minutes south of Washington D.C. I have 3 brothers: two older and one younger. I am the first person from my high school to apply to USD, let alone come here. I am very excited to be here and hope that more people from my high school will come look at this amazing university.
I am looking forward to improving my writing skills in this class. English has always been my least favorite subject in school because I have never found it interesting. I hope this class helps teach me new things about the English language and will help me appreciate it more. I am willing to learn all about different writing styles, and I can hopefully find one that will work well for me. Writing has always been a struggle of mine, so I am glad to be taking this class.
Writing has always been a struggle for me as well. I am glad we are taking this class because it gives us a chance to strengthen our writing skills. I think collaborating and exchanging different ideas and viewpoints will help us learn more. For instance, I like the idea of office hours and the other sources that allow us to receive help and learn to our best potential.
