Hello my name is Ben Stephen and I plan on studying computer science here at the University of San Diego. I was born in Brooklyn, New York but moved to California when I was very little. Growing up I would draw a lot and it was really the only thing thing that I was good at. However, I stopped drawing during high school but I plan on picking it back up in college. Before I moved to Camino in USD I lived in Valencia, California where I would frequently visit Six Flags with a lot of my friends because it was so close to my house.
In this class I am hoping to develop my writing skills and learn how to collect information and process it onto paper in a clear manner. Writing was not my strongest subject in high school so I am hoping that this class will be beneficial for me and will help me achieve my goal of learning how to write better.
Great post. I can relate in some ways more than others. I am interested in computers and am considering a minor in computer science. I am also a six flags fanatic and recently went to magic mountain with a friend of mine while we were in southern California. It’s cool that you are good at drawing as it is something I’ve always wanted to be good at but never really pursued my interest in it. I am also a pretty bad writer and hope to get some of the same things you do out of the class this year.
Hi Ben! I really hope you do continue with drawing because in my point of view, art shares a strong bond with different forms of creative writing. Art will definitely broaden your perspective on many aspects. Your writing skills are going to become better as time progresses and nobody is born knowing everything, so with practice you are going to make it. In my opinion, you will do great in this class if you are really looking forwards to giving your very best and aside from that, this class will help you with other class and in your future career.
