As part of the Department of Learning and Teaching support of Anti Racism Initiatives we invite you to our first Spring 2021 Speaker Series lecture. On Thursday February 18th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. via ZOOM you will have an opportunity to listen to Melissa Statz personal story about teaching her 4th grade students on the topic of racism and Black Lives Matter that her students inquired about in her predominantly white suburban town in Burlington, Wisconsin. We encourage faculty to continue the conversation in their own class following her presentation.
Attached please find the flyer and news links that covered the story (CNN and NBC, and other local news station)
