The STEAM Team Summer Academy is a week-long program focused on holistic academic enrichment for students entering 6th-12th grade in Fall 2019. Through fun, hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, students will engage their creativity, enhance problem solving, and develop communication and critical thinking skills. The daily activities will include designing and building complex chain reaction machines, building and programming robotic devices, exploring mathematical concepts through origami, team building through fitness activities, and goal setting in preparation for transition to high school, college and career. The high school students will engage in a week-long mathematics/social justice exploration.
The camp activities will be facilitated by faculty, students and alumni from the School of Leadership and Education Sciences, the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering, and the College of Arts and Sciences. Apply here: sandiego.edu/STEAMAcademy2019 | Click here for flyer
