In the article “As We May Think” by Vannevar Bush, humans are shown as relying on technology to a great extent. Technology expands human knowledge and Bush thinks that it will continue to do so. He predicts that in the future, technology will advance in many fields such as medical fields. Machines can be specialized and can learn things faster than humans can. Because of this, machines and technology will continue to be more and more prominent in every day life and jobs. One prediction that is right is the picture editing prediction. It is so easy to edit any picture on someone’s phone.Bush explains that this could be a reason for destruction in the future. He believes that people will soon lose touch of reality and become so absorbed in what technology has to offer. Bush talked about voice recognition in the future which was an accurate prediction.
