Introduction [Walz]

Hello, my name is Victoria Walz. I was born and raised here in San Diego, California. I have lived in multiple parts of San Diego throughout my life starting off in Point Loma, then Rancho San Diego, Coronado and eventually settling to where my family lives now in Rancho Santa Fe. I am now a freshman here at the University of San Diego and intend to major in Business Real Estate. I have two older brothers who attended Stanford and Sonoma State and an older sister who went to Skidmore University. I horse back ride competitively and go to the barn almost everyday when class and homework allow it. I have been formally taking horse back riding lessons since I was five but grew up around horses since my brothers had some. I now have six horses and compete in the midwest as well as here on the west coast. I travel to Kentucky as often as I can to train on the two horses I keep out there. It has been a great experience exploring more of America by competing at the horse shows in the Midwest. Kentucky has become a second home to me and I really enjoy the time I spend there. This past summer I spent three weeks in Lexington, Kentucky competing at three different horse competitions back to back weeks. I was on the 2018 United States Equestrian Federation’s Saddle Seat World Cup team and won first place against South Africa, Canada and Namibia. At home I have a dachshund, great dane, and bull terrier along with a black cat, three tortoises and our seven chickens. I love animals and will take any opportunity I can to be around them.
