Brianna Pressey is currently a SOLES student in the Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction program and she was selected as one of five finalists for the 2021 Teachers Test Prep “Pass the Torch” Teacher Scholarship.

Each year, Teachers Test Prep offers $10,000 in scholarships to future educators through its “Pass the Torch” Teacher Scholarships program. One $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a candidate planning a career in primary education while a second $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a candidate planning a career in secondary education. Teachers Test Prep founder Robert Duncan states, “When selecting finalists, we asked ourselves, who do we really want to make sure ends up in a classroom? Each of the finalists convinced us that they had the potential to become an inspirational teacher who would one day ‘pass the torch’ on to their students.”

The two winners will be announced on October 27. Each will receive $5,000 to offset school and living expenses so they can spend more time focusing on preparing to become a teacher.
