The San Diego Unified School District is seeking part- time employees to work in our Level Up! Summer Programs

We are seeking to hire individuals as substitute employees. If an individual holds a credential or is eligible for a 30-day permit, we will interview them for work as a substitute teacher*. If an employee does not yet hold a credential or is not eligible for a 30-day permit, we would bring them in as a paraeducator.

Our summer employment will last from June 17- July 16 or July 30, 2021 depending upon the program; this includes two days of training which will occur on June 17- 18, 2021. Individuals who are selected for these positions would be assigned to work on a daily basis within the dates of our summer programs.

• The rate of pay for substitute teachers ranges from $145.12 to $165.72 per day; substitute teachers will work 5- 6 hours per day and will deliver district- prepared curriculum using a project-based learning model.
• The rate of pay for substitute paraeducators ranges from $18.66 – $23.25 per hour; substitute paraeducators will work 5-6 hours per day and will facilitate and supervise students as they participate in project- based learning.
