Researchers at UC San Diego Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research (CHEAR) are conducting a pilot study called BALANCE (Behavioral Approach for Latinas, Addressing, Nutrition, Cravings, and Eating Patterns to Prevent type 2 Diabetes) evaluating a culturally adapted Regulation of Cues (ROC) treatment for Latina women ages 18-55 with prediabetes. We are looking for bilingual interventionists to lead the group treatment. Time commitment will include the weekly 90-minute groups which will be conducted in our lab (3344 N Torrey Pines Ct) during the evening and supervision via Zoom with the study PI. Treatment will last ~4 months.
We are currently looking for volunteers/extra practicum placement but are investigating whether we may be able to pay the interventionists. This would be an opportunity for folks to get some additional hours towards licensure.
Please have anyone interested email the PI Dr. Dawn Eichen at deichen@health.ucsd.edu
