The Danielsen Institute at Boston University are excited to let you know of their free upcoming conference that brings systemic and culturally responsive framings to the conversation about best practices to sustain therapist well-being and effectiveness: “Beyond Self-Care: Holistic Approaches for Preventing Burnout and Promoting Flourishing among Helping Professionals.”
As part of this, their team will be reporting findings from a recent national study, systematic reviews of empirical work in these areas, and an ongoing RCT of an online intervention designed specifically to help therapists thrive.
The conference is free to attend, and will take place in hybrid format on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 9am-4:30pm EDT.
While they will have an in-person audience, the conference is Zoom-based and is available to attend for anyone in helping roles across the U.S. and internationally. The conference recording will also be made available to help account for folks who may not be able to attend in real-time due to time zone differences. CEs are available for psychologists across the U.S., and we’ve submitted for CE approval for MA social workers and MFTs.
This event has a broad audience, including:
- Mental health professionals in diverse disciplines, including psychologists, counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, etc.
- Chaplains and other spiritual care providers
- Clergy of diverse traditions and other religious leaders
- Graduate students in these professions
- Others involved in community support
