CMFT September Announcements

Dear Students,

Welcome, again, to campus! We hope you are more comfortable navigating your way around the building as we round out this first week of the Fall 2021 semester. This email comes to you with a few important updates.

First and the most fun announcement, Dean Spencer is hosting an ice cream social for our department next week, Monday, September 13, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Inner Courtyard (right across from Berts Bistro). Come for a quick break, or stay as long as you like, and get to know the dean and other members of the CMFT department.

***All CMFT students who attend the ice cream social will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 Campus Cash gift card! RSVPs are not required.

Second, all students are required to sign their Program’s Handbook Acknowledgement in Tevera, which is included as an assignment for your program. If you have any questions, please contact Kiyonna Navarro. The other assignment is to subscribe to the CMFT blog: https://sites.sandiego.edu/cmft/

Finally, also Tevera related, if you have any questions that the Tevera Help Desk is unable to answer or fix for you, please contact Kiyonna Navarro. You can email cmft@sandiego.edu to her attention. Examples of what Kiyonna can do for you within Tevera include adding/updating a supervisor or duplicating an assignment if you have a second site. Your course instructor or the help desk can assist with where to input hours or route assignments.

Tevera is a wonderful system that we use for classes, supervision, and advising within CMFT. Please also note that Tevera has a Knowledge Portal to orient yourself with the system with a search function for your questions.

Thank you all for your positive energy during this first week of class. We look forward to working with and getting to know you more during this academic year. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to cmft@sandiego.edu.

Sincerely,

– The Counseling & MFT Department
