What’s new in this workshop?

This workshop adds additional examples from previous CADW workshop attendees, including sample assignment scaffolding from the Business school and a guide for reading primary scientific literature. This workshop will have a smaller attendance, allowing more time for questions, discussion, and assignment sharing.

About the workshop

Using a Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) approach, this workshop combines insights from rhetoric and composition research, practitioner lore, and examples from Writing Program Affiliated Faculty in different disciplines to explore best practices and common challenges related to implementing CADW learning outcomes in an area of study. The workshop is split into three sections:

• In an area of study…

In each section, faculty will be encouraged to share challenges, experiences, and resources. Faculty will also be asked to practice workshop skills in exercises using examples of student writing.
