This example of class scaffolding comes from Dr. Abby Berk’s class, ETLW 403, Sustainability and Business. Students write a series of short assignments (professional thank you emails, industry analysis briefs, formal project outline) and receive varied forms of feedback (from the professor, from peers, and the Writing Center). These smaller writing assignments prepare students for the a culminating project at the end of the semester that combines skills.
