Vannevar Bush writes the article “As We May Think”, predicting the future of technology and digital information in 1945. He quite accurately predicts that there will be online encyclopedias where you can access basically any information at any time. As he says, “Wholly new forms of encyclopedias will appear, ready made with a mesh of associative trails running through them, ready to be dropped into the memex and there amplified.” Looking back on his predictions, one being online encyclopedias, he did a good job at predicting what the future holds.
