I enjoyed first year writing because I was able to write an essay and take my time with it. In the past I have rushed through an essay and created something that was not the best product just to get it turned in. In this class I had time to create an appointment with the writing center, have them help me better my writing, and then go back and look over it again. I enjoyed how for the most part we received freedom to choose something to write that we were interested in. The only thing that was upsetting about this class is the grade I got with my research paper which I worked very hard on and went to the writing center twice, Im hoping I will achieve a better grade once I revise it.
