I want to write about how technology and the internet influence elections and campaigns. It is apparent that there was much technological propaganda that went into Trump and Clinton’s campaigns, but the use of technology in these ways didn’t just start this past election, it has been with blowing up since the early 1990’s. Not only has technology helped candidates get their word out, it has also brought much controversy back into the eyes of American’s that sway their opinions.

Please be more specific about the types of technologies you think have an impact on elections (the existence of social media in general, or more specifically consumer analytic tools, etc.) What sources are you looking at?
