Frankenstein Feedback [McCormick]

In my classmates Frankenstein piece, he addressed many ideas that switched my perspective from how I originally viewed the story. Initially I did not think the monster or Victor had any reason to be victims of what they complained about. The monster on one hand was a murderer, but Victor let him become that way due to a lack of supervision. Not only that, but Victor was the creature of the killing machine, and he ran away from the very thing that was a threat to his family. In Kevin’s work, I now can feel more sympathy for the monster because Victor left him isolated all alone on a mountain. This does damage the mentality of the monster to potentially make him more harmful than he would have been in captivity. I think further research on how isolation can damage mental health would be a great addition of content. Another great topic to research and add would be reverse engineering. It is mentioned in the first paragraph, and it is something that is rather unfamiliar in everyday life. Any potentially harmful effects of today’s reverse engineering connected to the situation Victor is in would be a great way to incorporate the modern world. Make sure to read over simple grammatical errors and spellcheck. I think the piece overall serves as a means of getting the reader to think in a whole new way, and once you finish adding more content it will be great.
