She was convinced that I could make a meal for us with the food in her house, but as I opened the fridge, I was less convinced that I could make a decent meal out of the food inside: a dozen eggs, a carton of almond milk, four apples, some orange juice, a bag of tortillas, three sticks of butter, some left over pizza from the night before, three heads of lettuce, a bunch of grapes, a container of parmesan cheese, half an avocado, a half eaten sandwich that I am sure was days old, some carrots, and a jar of grape jelly.
