My name is Makenna Mumford and I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have 5 siblings, but the closest in age to me is 11 years older, and the oldest is 21 years older than I am. 3 of my siblings are married and have kids, so I have 8 nieces and nephews who live all over the country.
I absolutely love traveling, and have been blessed to visit incredible places all around the world. My dad is English, so at least once a year we visit the UK to visit his family, and it has begun to feel like a second home. I also love to cook and bake, play any sports, listen to music, meet new people, and find quiet moments to stop and think.
I graduated from a small private school with about 70 other kids in my class, and absolutely loved it. I have also played soccer since I was 3, and competitively since I was about 11. These two factors were the biggest influences on my college choice. I was going to go to other schools to play, however a couple months ago decided that I wanted to focus on my academics and new opportunities, and not play soccer. As hard as it was to come to that decision, this school is the best facilitator to help me learn, grow, have new experiences, and focus on my future. I am a pre-med student and plan to major in Behavioral Neuroscience.
