Here is a useful resource created by Central Michigan University on “Writing Intensive Resources: Handling the Paper Load and Responding to Student Writing.” This handout is organized as a nice quick read that addresses some common myths about teaching more writing in our classes (many of these myths result in unnecessary added labor for writing faculty). Our CADW peers at another institution (meaning, those in departments other than English and writing studies who teach advanced writing) share some expert tips here on course design, response strategies, and more, all of which map well to writing in the disciplines.
