Student teams from as far as Aruba and China have joined the Jacobs Institute Changemaker Challenge (JICC) hosted by the University of San Diego’s Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education! The kick-off launch on Thursday, January 16 was held virtually with educators from all over the world, who were thrilled to be a part of this competition. The JICC is an opportunity for middle- and high-schoolers to collectively make a positive impact on the world. Through the Jacobs Institute Changemaker Challenge, educators and teenagers develop an innovator’s mindset and skills to create social good solutions to local or global problems. The event will culminate on May 16, 2020 in a virtual student pitch competition with awards supporting top ideas.
