b-present’s purpose is to enhance the lives of young adults with cancer by utilizing a tool that better connects them to their support network, other cancer patients, and spreads awareness about being present in others’ lives. We are a relatively new nonprofit and in need of some extra hands for our upcoming dueling pianos event. We thought that it would be a valuable experience for students studying nonprofit work and a fun way to fulfill some of their needed volunteer/community service hours.
The event will be October 19th, 2019 at Quartyard in downtown San Diego from 6pm-10pm. Volunteering at this event will include a two-hour shift and then the freedom to enjoy the remainder of the event free of charge. There will be a required training conducted the evening before, October 18th, 2019 from 6pm-9pm.
