There is no shortage of writing about AI (whether it’s optimistic talk about “affordances,” hand-wringing about the death of critical thinking, or somewhere in between). If you have been keeping tabs, you have seen opinion pieces and popular articles, advice for teachers, venture-capital hype: It’s quite hard to keep up. And, while it took a while, writing researchers are now cranking out good studies documenting what’s going on in actual classrooms.

For those interested, here’s an annotated bibliography that reviews recent thinking in different areas. Each annotation is followed by one or two questions we might think about as writing teachers.
