I’m delighted to announce the launch of USD’s Center for Ethics, Economics, and Public Policy! The mission of the center is to promote rigorous scholarship and teaching on the impact of social norms, markets and public policies on human freedom, well-being and justice.
The Center held its first event in the Fall of 2016, a debate on California’s new $15 minimum wage law. Our next event will be a debate on immigration on human rights, to be held on March 16th at 6:00pm in the IPJ Theater.
Several of the Center’s supporters published a piece in the San Diego Union Tribune explaining why they are excited about this project. You can read that piece here: “New USD Ethics, Economics Center to Inspire Debate, Discovery.”
