On September 30, 2021, the Jacobs Institute in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education were excited to virtually host Richard Miller, Professor of Practice and Clinical Director at Arizona State University who presented on the topic, “Creating and Activating Hope” to educators. This event celebrated the San Diego region’s participation in the Remake Learning Day Across America (RLDAA), a national educational festival amongst 17 cities, highlighting innovative learning experiences and opportunities for youth, families and educators to develop their sense of creativity, perseverance and curiosity.
Professor Miller, also Founder and President of the organization, Kids at Hope, spoke on what hope is, how it is created and how it can be harnessed and activated as a cognitive strategy to help navigate life’s challenges and opportunities. Many lucky educators received e-gift cards from Barnes & Noble!
We invite you to check out his presentation and future guest speaker sessions throughout the year here.
