The National Alliance of Community and Technical Colleges (NACTC) has established the Robert H. McCabe Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate Research in Developmental Education to recognize research that assists colleges in developing developmental education programs. The award carries with it a $1,000 stipend along with travel expenses (up to $1,000) for each recipient to attend the summer NACTC conference in Lexington, Kentucky on July 19-20, 2018 to present his or her research.
Award criteria: The research must be able to assist community colleges in developing effective remedial education programs; be submitted by a graduate student currently enrolled in a public or private college or university; and fulfill the requirements of a course or program including a thesis or dissertation.
Students must submit their research to Dr. Keith D. McLaughlin (Provost, Morton College) at Keith.mclaughlin@morton.edu by May 10, 2018. The recipient will be notified no later than June 1, 2018.
