This working document compiles resources for faculty wishing to incorporate small or large research assignments into first year writing. Research can be integrated into smaller, informal activities, especially to emphasize how to properly frame different types of sources based on the writer’s intended use. For faculty looking for resources for more traditional research-based assignments, links to open access textbooks are also included.
