Greetings, Environmental Chemists!

Digestion of paint samples from naval ships to test for Hexavalent Chromium (EPA method 3060A).

My name is Ashley Corrigan Steffey and I am excited to be co-teaching Chem 355 this spring with Dr. De Haan. Over the past ten years my life has revolved around environmental chemistry, including working at the USGS (water chemistry), graduate school (aerosol chemistry), and working at a local environmental laboratory (hazardous waste testing, industrial hygiene). Our class will cover engaging topics such as, atmospheric chemistry, climate change, fossil fuels, renewable energy, water and soil chemistry!
