The purpose of this association is to promote interaction among graduate nursing students, faculty, alumni, and the nursing community. The GNSA sponsors activities to enhance professional growth, provides an atmosphere for the exchange of ideas, facilitates collegiality among members and faculty, and assists student members by being a source of information. These objectives are achieved through sponsorship of conferences, speakers, instructional material, leadership with local projects, and through officer and committee representation on the various committees within the School of Nursing and the University.

We seek to empower students to explore issues that affect healthcare, our community and our roles as caregivers. Drawing on our unique backgrounds, and with the help of expert educators, we aim to broaden our collective understanding of what it means to be part of a diverse community.
We offer monthly meetings and discussions to educate our members on issues we collectively find meaningful and to create a space to discuss among peers.
