Monday, October 21: Social Media Kick-off

Look out for our intern team roaming campus to give you an opportunity to share how you “avoid scary situations with alcohol”! Those who participate will be entered to win a pair of free movie tickets!

Tuesday, October 22: Avoid a Scary Situation

Connect with CHWP interns and the Torero Wellness Peer Educators from 12-2pm in front of the Immaculata for some tips to help you stay safe this Halloween and add to the NCAAW pledge board!

Wednesday, October 23: QPR

UC 103AB. You will learn how to spot early warnings of suicide, how to begin a conversation with someone who may be struggling and how to make a referral to Student Wellness resources. Light snacks provided. Register here.

Thursday, October 24: Explore Fall in San Diego:

Chat with the CHWP interns from 12-2 in front of the UC about fun things to do this fall in the San Diego area that are substance-free! You can enter the social media challenge and enjoy some apple cider and sweet treats!

Did You Know?

According to the USD Health Survey data collected from 2018, almost 30% of USD undergraduate students reported they had not used alcohol within the last 30 days. Additionally, close to 60% of students did not binge drink (consume 5 or more drinks in a sitting) within the last 30 days. This means that many USD students choose not to drink on a regular basis and that many of our students will be having an alcohol-free Halloween! If you’re looking to keep your Halloween activities substance-free, check out some of the many events happening in the community below!
