This document provides examples of the following errors, explaining the effect that they have on readers, and showing how to correct them.<\/p>\n

  2. Missing comma after an introductory element<\/li>\n
  3. Incomplete or missing documentation<\/li>\n
  4. Vague pronoun reference<\/li>\n
  5. Spelling (including homonyms)<\/li>\n
  6. Mechanical error with a quotation<\/li>\n
  7. Unnecessary comma<\/li>\n
  8. Unnecessary or missing capitalization<\/li>\n
  9. Missing word<\/li>\n
  10. Faulty sentence structure<\/li>\n
  11. Missing comma with a nonrestrictive element<\/li>\n
  12. Unnecessary shift in verb tense<\/li>\n
  13. Missing comma in a compound sentence<\/li>\n
  14. Unnecessary or missing apostrophe (including its\/it\u2019s)<\/li>\n
  15. Fused (run-on) sentence<\/li>\n
  16. Comma splice<\/li>\n
  17. Lack of pronoun-antecedent agreement<\/li>\n
  18. Poorly integrated quotation<\/li>\n
