Fall 2022

The Fall 2022 issue of USD Magazine offers up a look at the journey of parent Shannon Watts, who used her anger and grief over the Sandy Hook shooting to found the 10-million strong group, Moms Demand Action, to draw attention to the plague of gun violence facing our citizenry. Also find a feature about Karissa Valencia ’13 (BA), whose new animated series, Spirit Rangers, celebrates the power of Native American culture. Building developer Michael Crawford ’08 (BA) is featured on the cover; his journey from the gridiron at USD to his current sweet spot has been a long and ultimately fulfilling sojourn.

Also in our pages is a story at how USD Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science faculty members are taking the subject of HCWs struggling with psychiatric symptoms seriously and a profile of Executive Director of the San Diego Ethics Commission Sharon Spivak ’95 (JD) and much more.
