However, if you would like to start from a different syllabus than the one that auto-populated, you can use the tool&#8217;s syllabus Replacement feature to select a different syllabus to import.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin, navigate to the syllabus you want to replace the content in, and select the&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>&nbsp;button [pencil icon] to the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Once the publisher opens, select\u00a0<strong>Import<\/strong>\u00a0to choose another syllabus to copy from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.screensteps.com\/image_assets\/assets\/005\/770\/717\/original\/Simple_Replace01.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Use the\u00a0<em>Term<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Search<\/em>\u00a0fields to narrow down the results, then select the course to replace your syllabus content with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.screensteps.com\/image_assets\/assets\/005\/770\/718\/original\/Simple_Replace02.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You cannot revert a syllabus back to its previous version once the replacement has processed, so verify you have the correct&nbsp;<strong>Term<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Course<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Section<\/strong>&nbsp;before you select it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the syllabus content you wish to replace is from a syllabus submitted by a different instructor\u2014or you want to select specific components to replace from one of your other syllabi\u2014use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/alamocolleges.screenstepslive.com\/m\/73846\/l\/1624423-replacing-or-importing-content-from-another-syllabus#importing-components-from-a-course-syllabus\">Import feature<\/a>&nbsp;to locate the syllabus in the Syllabus Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Replacing the syllabus will overwrite all of the components that are editable by instructors at the section level. These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Instructor Information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Course Policies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schedule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The other components that are edited at the University, School, and Department levels will not be impacted when the content is replaced with a different syllabus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"importing-components-from-another-syllabus\"><a href=\"https:\/\/alamocolleges.screenstepslive.com\/m\/73846\/l\/1624423-replacing-or-importing-content-from-another-syllabus#importing-components-from-another-syllabus\"><\/a>Importing Components from Another Syllabus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Import tool allows you to import content from any syllabus from Spring 2023 or later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin, navigate to the syllabus you want to import content into, and select the&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>&nbsp;button [pencil icon] to the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the publisher opens, select the&nbsp;<strong>Import<\/strong>&nbsp;button in the upper left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.screensteps.com\/image_assets\/assets\/005\/778\/137\/original\/e0e98315-632d-4177-8a24-e6c9ed63808b.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A three-step dialog window will appear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Select Source<\/strong>: Use the available search fields to locate and select the syllabus you wish to import content from. It can be one of your own syllabi you have edited or submitted previously, or a syllabus that has been published by another instructor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.screensteps.com\/image_assets\/assets\/005\/778\/139\/medium\/a4a4f787-f2d8-463d-b934-009fd5be559b.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.screensteps.com\/image_assets\/assets\/005\/778\/139\/original\/a4a4f787-f2d8-463d-b934-009fd5be559b.png\"><\/a>2. <strong>Map Content<\/strong>: Choose which content from the syllabus you&#8217;d like to import:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can import all content by selecting the&nbsp;<strong>Finalize<\/strong>&nbsp;button; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can specify content to import by enabling the\u00a0<strong>Advanced<\/strong>\u00a0slider and choosing which components to import and which ones to ignore. Click the\u00a0<strong>Finalize<\/strong>\u00a0button once you&#8217;ve made your selections.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.screensteps.com\/image_assets\/assets\/005\/778\/141\/medium\/ce2f3516-7a2f-468c-95e4-c6d1831ca21b.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.screensteps.com\/image_assets\/assets\/005\/778\/141\/original\/ce2f3516-7a2f-468c-95e4-c6d1831ca21b.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you specify which content to import, it is recommended that you&nbsp;<strong>Do not import<\/strong>&nbsp;the other instructor&#8217;s information.
