This job aid will guide faculty <\/strong>through the process of Cross-Listing Canvas course sites. Cross-listing allows instructors to merge their sections into one course, thus only needing to post content, assignments and quizzes once. Faculty must be listed as the instructor for that course prior to completing these steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is highly recommended that cross-listing be completed before adding or grading any content in the sections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you wish to de-cross-list your courses, please contact LDC Support at ldcsupport@sandiego.edu<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/strong><\/td><\/td><\/tr>
Click Courses<\/strong>.Choose the parent course site<\/em> that will have the lecture content, assignments and quizzes. Click that course site name<\/strong>.<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
Copy the Course’s ID number<\/em> at the end of the web address of the parent <\/em><\/strong>course site<\/em>. Note<\/em>: This number identifies that course site in Canvas and is unique to each course site.<\/em><\/td><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Step 2<\/strong> <\/td><\/td><\/tr>
Click Courses<\/strong>.Choose the child course site(s)<\/em> that will be cross-listed with the parent course site<\/em>.Click the course site name<\/strong>.<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
Click Settings<\/strong>.<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
Click the Sections<\/strong> tab.Click the course site name<\/strong>.<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
Click the Cross-List this Section<\/strong> button on the right.<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
Enter the Course’s ID number<\/em> of the parent course site<\/em>.Under Selected Course<\/em>, the chosen parent course site<\/em> will be displayed.Click the Cross-List This Section<\/strong> button.<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
This message will appear at the top of the web page.<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
