My name is Karina Rog, a fourth-year undergraduate\u00a0student at USD. My research focuses on the accumulation of trace metals, particularly copper (Cu), in <em>Ulva<\/em> tissue and how these concentrations correspond to sediment characteristics across different site types (marinas, beaches, natural areas). Using metrics like Biota-Sediment Accumulation Factors (BSAFs) and correlation analysis, I aim to evaluate whether\u00a0<em>Ulva<\/em>\u00a0can reliably reflect spatial patterns of contamination, especially in areas where sediment metal retention may be low.
