The U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee is expected to review tomorrow the text of H.R. 4573.  The legislation would direct the Secretary of the Treasury to instruct the U.S. executive directors at the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and other multilateral development institutions to use the "voice, vote, and influence of the United States" to cancel completely Haiti’s debts to those institutions.  Track the status of H.R. 4573 here.
