Congress passed an historic budget increase
to fight slavery recently…luckily there's no gridlock when it comes to this issue. A bipartisan Congress and the White House have approved major spending increases to combat slavery and trafficking in 2010. It's a "watershed moment" according to Free the Slaves CEO Jolene Smith. Read more here.

Just reading the news can still give you a jolt as strong as the strongest java. Secretary Gates and Joint Chiefs Chairman Mullen and now Colin Powell all advocate for the end of the da/dt policy. Prediction: there will be quite a lot of debate on this issue still to come.
