Community Coordinator Intern

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the WeRobotics’ core team as a Community Coordinator Intern who will work with Flying Labs and the Community Coordination team on a daily basis. The team is responsible for onboarding new Flying Labs, supporting Flying Labs in their communication and branding efforts (web pages, blog posts, webinars, social media, etc.), sharing opportunities and most importantly help producing and disseminating knowledge and know-how through dedicated channels across a growing network including over 220 members
across 30+ countries.

This learning opportunity allows the intern to step foot in an international not-for-profit, gain valuable experience on network coordination and facilitation and take part in process improvement cycles working alongside a dedicated and fun team spread across the globe. You will strengthen your communication, storytelling and project management skills all the while learning how local Flying Labs make an impact applying leadership, entrepreneurship and technology to solve social challenges.

Join the Meta-University 2021: propose your activity and contribute to the dialogue about the impact of the current digitalization on the youth sector!

The Meta-University is an initiative of the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe launched last year to ensure interaction, peer-learning, and partnership-building among people active in the youth sector at different levels. The Meta-University is an online space to connect and re-connect with different organizations internationally and reflect on the recent critical circumstances and challenges, drawing plans for the future.

Engagement Intern

The World Justice Project’s Engagement team is seeking an intern at the WJP’s office in Washington, DC for September – December 2021, with the option for extension through June 2022. The internship is open to applicants on a part-time schedule (at least 20 hours per week) or a full-time schedule (35 hours per week). (Note: This internship may change to a remote internship depending on pandemic-related work from home orders.) The intern will work in collaboration with the WJP Engagement team to connect and build an engaged global network of policy-makers and activists to advance the rule of law through strategic partnerships, convenings, and support for locally-led initiatives. Please note that this is an academic credit or paid internship.

AFGraduate Research Assistant 

Dr. Kate DeConinck at USD is hiring two research assistants to assist with research projects that she will be conducting in San Diego during the 2021-22 academic year. Dr. DeConinck is based out of the Department of Theology and Religious Studies and is also the co-director of the Urgent Challenges Collective (USD’s initiative on homelessness). Research assistants will primarily support her externally-funded research project about San Diegans’ diverse relationships with pets during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. DeConinck plans to hire one Graduate Research Assistant as well as one Research Assistant (Photography/Videography). Additional details about these positions are available online here. Great Thinkers International Fellowship Program!

Think Different Global is a community of great thinkers and young enthusiastic people who are working on educating people about United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) using the tools of education, art, media and events.

 DreamStart Labs Internship 

There is a significant body of existing research available on this topic. We would love to have an intern conduct a thorough secondary research review of anything they find on this topic, compile the study highlights, and give our leadership team a presentation of the top findings that could be relevant to helping us make the best decisions as we craft how to present helpful recommendations and tips to our end users.

The Fred Morgan Kirby Prize for Scaling Social Impact (F. M. Kirby Impact Prize) is an annual global prize of $100,000 USD in unrestricted funds that amplifies and accelerates the work of enterprises working to scale their impact on social or environmental problems around the world.

Plants With Purpose, Grant Writing Intern 

As a grant writing intern, you will support our development team by communicating with potential donors about the impact of our work, doing research on issues related to rural poverty and international development, and dreaming with us about ways to increase support for Plant With Purpose programs around the world.


San Diego Diplomacy Council 

Gain hands-on experience in public diplomacy while learning about the work of a nonprofit in San Diego. Our volunteer intern positions are for college juniors through graduate-level students. Intern, Karuna Center for Peacebuilding

The Karuna Center for Peacebuilding is seeking a part-time intern for Fall 2021/Spring 2022. The Karuna Center for Peacebuilding is a small nonprofit organization based in Amherst, MA, but with primarily remote staff, that implements peacebuilding programs focused on conflict transformation, inter-communal dialogue, and reconciliation. The core of Karuna Center’s work takes place in conflict-affected regions of the world, working with local partners.  Karuna is also expanding its outreach and efforts to do more work in the United States.


Internship: Institutional Learning Team Global Learning

Search is looking for a Global Learning Intern to support the creation, refinement and/or socialization of tools, guidance, and other learning materials designed to support global and organizational learning.

Interns will have the opportunity to work directly with program managers and design, monitoring, and evaluation specialists. They will gain hands-on experience from the work of a leading peacebuilding organization, while also bringing their own academic and professional experiences to the organization. Interns will benefit from important learning opportunities both internally and externally and build skills in research, monitoring and evaluation, and project management.

The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship

A full-time, six-to-nine month fellowship in Washington, DC. Outstanding individuals will be selected to work with nonprofit, public-interest organizations addressing peace and security issues. This opportunity provides recent college and graduate school alumni with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security.

Scoville Fellows will choose to work with one of the twenty-six organizations participating in the program. Fellows may undertake a variety of activities, including research, writing, and organizing that support the goals of their host organization.

Fellows receive a salary of $3,400 per month and basic health insurance compensation, plus travel expenses to Washington, DC. The program also provides $1,000 per fellow for professional development to attend relevant conferences or meetings that could cover travel, accommodations, and registration fees, or to take a language or policy course. EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament eLearning Course

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, distance learning has become significantly more important to lecturers and students. As you might be aware, the EU established a European network of independent non-proliferation think tanks in 2010, managed by the six members of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium (EUNPDC). One major project of the consortium is the development and maintenance of this online course. The course is completely free of charge, GDPR compliant and does require registration only for users who want one of several certificates. Our course comprises fifteen learning units that cover a whole range of issues; including arms control theory and WMD, conventional weapons, humanitarian arms control, missiles and emerging technologies. It has been used by 1000+ persons already, and features in syllabi by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and other international institutions.
