Each year, The Rotary Foundation awards up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and 80 for certificate studies at premier universities.

Georg Arnhold International Summer Conference

The Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research (GEI) is pleased to announce the Georg Arnhold International Summer Conference, which will take place online from 23 to 27 August 2021. The Summer Conference will explore aspects and topics related to the environmental crisis and education.
This year’s Summer Conference will address important questions and topics related to education in the face of the environmental crisis. The Georg Arnhold Program on Education for Sustainable Peace focuses on content, educational media and curricula for secondary schools.
The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship
A full-time, six-to-nine month fellowship in Washington, DC. Outstanding individuals will be selected to work with nonprofit, public-interest organizations addressing peace and security issues. This opportunity provides recent college and graduate school
alumni with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of
peace and security.
Scoville Fellows will choose to work with one of the twenty-six organizations participating in the program. Fellows may undertake a variety of activities, including research, writing, and organizing that support the goals of their host
organization.
Fellows receive a salary of $3,400 per month and basic health insurance compensation, plus travel expenses to Washington, DC. The program also provides $1,000 per fellow for professional development to attend relevant conferences or meetings that could cover travel, accommodations, and registration fees, or to take a language or policy course. The SOLES Graduate Student Writing Center
The SOLES Graduate Student Writing Center is a virtual space designed to accommodate both online or on-campus graduate students for whom distance or busy schedules conflict with coming to campus.
The Center’s free web-based service provides students with feedback on digital versions of their assignments and offers one-on-one coaching sessions via remote conferencing.
EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament eLearning Course
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, distance learning has become significantly more important to lecturers and students. As you might be aware, the EU established a European network of independent non-proliferation think tanks in 2010, managed by the six members of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium (EUNPDC). One major project of the consortium is the development and maintenance of this online course. The course is completely free of charge, GDPR compliant and does require registration only for users who want one of several certificates. Our course comprises fifteen learning units that cover a whole range of issues; including arms control theory and WMD, conventional weapons, humanitarian arms control, missiles and emerging technologies. It has been used by 1000+ persons already, and features in syllabi by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and other international institutions.
