Human Rights Watch Film Festival

The Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice is honored to partner with The Museum of Photographic Arts in hosting the sixth annual Human Rights Watch Film Festival. The festival uses storytelling to bring to life human rights abuses to create empathy and the demand for justice.
This year’s films include:
• I Am Sun Mu about a North Korean artists who defects to the South
• (T)error about an FBI counterterrorism informant attempting to befriend a suspected jihadist
• “A Right to the Image” a special presentation about the aesthetic, political and ethical visual representations of human suffering and injustice
• The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution about the organization’s effort to radically transform the U.S. system
• The Diplomat about the life and legacy of U.S. Ambassador Richard Holbrooke
• The Wanted 18 about the Israeli army’s attempt to eliminate 18 cows on a Palestinian collective farm deemed “a threat to the national security”
