In 1945 Vannevar Bush, an American engineer, wrote an article called “As We May Think”, where he discusses the impact on the advancement of technology. Throughout the article, he makes a variety of predictions for what the future in technology would look like. He first predicts the progress of photography. Bush says,”faster material and lenses, more automatic cameras, finer-grained sensitive compounds” will be expected in the future of photography. He claims that it will be an “inevitable” outcome. Bush also states that tiny cameras could be placed on glasses and have a cord in which the subject could easily document their working by squeezing the cord. He also predicts a machine which types when talked to, by combining the Vocoder and the stenotype.\u00a0Another prediction Bush creates is the “memex”, which is a high functioning storage machine, allowing people to obtain information with an increased efficiency.
