The infiltration of technology into every facet of our lives is having a significant effect on body dysmorphia and the development of eating disorders. While technology integration by itself is contributing to this, the real danger is in specific websites and trends on social media forums. Easy access to pro-ana and pro-mia websites has proven to be extremely influential on the developments of these disorders, and the overload of unreasonable standards of beauty on social media sites causes symptoms linked to those who develop eating disorders, especially in teenage females.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
