After reading this essay, there are many positive aspects that can be identified. She starts off with a strong introduction where she clearly states what she will be arguing throughout her writing. She believes that Victor’s major mistake in the novel was creating the monster in the first place. After she clearly expresses her stance she goes on in each paragraph following to further explain why she believes that Victor should have refrained from creating the monster, which she accomplishes in a successful way. She has very strong arguments such as the fact that he disregards the law, takes action against nature, and tries to play his own version of God. All of these arguments, and the way that she includes great detail about each piece back up her stance in a very strong and pursuasive manner. Further, she provides a various number of quotations imbedded in the paragraphs, that once again strengthen her argument by providing proof stated directly from the novel. She uses very strong diction, that makes her piece sound more scholarly and well written, making it a very easy read for others. She makes a strong point that the main reason Victor should have not created the monster was that he was clearly not responsible enough and unprepared to deal with the situation, which is evident when he runs away from the monster when he comes to life. She states that due to his creation Victor was faced with many consequences that he was unfit to deal with it. Another good point is made when she makes the argument that because Victor was so caught up in his ambitions and experiment, he failed to realize the many flaws that were to come along with it.
