I am eighteen years of age, my birthday lands on January 24th, 2000. I grew up in the Salinas Valley, where agriculture and produce are the cornerstones of the local economy. I lived in a town with a population of 144,000, with my mother and my three brothers. My parents got divorced when I was eight years old, but my relationship with my father still stands strong. I went to private college preparatory high school called Palma High. At Palma, I participated in a plethora of activities and sports such as; football, lacrosse, Health Care Professionals Club, Pre-Med Club, and I was Vice President on ASB. Due to my efforts in high school, I was allowed to attend a four year university which made me the first person in my family to go to college. \u00a0A career path that piqued my interest the most was nursing and its what lead me to join health related clubs, volunteer at hospitals, and pick a major in science so I could further study medicine. Apart from academics, I love exploring new places and going to the beach! Growing up near Santa Cruz, allowed me to go to some of the best beaches on the west coast, where I would go scuba diving and skim boarding. This past summer I traveled out of the country for the first time to Spain with my family. During our two week adventure we went to five cities; Tarragona, Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastian, and Pamplona where my brothers and I ran with the bulls!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
