This Sunday is the Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica in Rome. Even though church buildings are important in their own way, St. Paul sheds light on the dignity of the human person when refers to the temple of our own body:<\/p>\n

“Did you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”<\/em><\/p>\n

Student Workshop<\/h3>\n

“Chicago\/Turabian: Introduction and Citation Clinic,” with librarian Martha Adkins –\u00a0Monday, November 3\u00a0– FST classroom Coronado 132B –\u00a04:30-5:30pm.<\/p>\n

Martha will also be available for drop-in help in Copley Library at the Research Assistance Desk\u00a0Mondays 10:00am-12:00pm\/Thursdays 12:00pm-2:00pm\u00a0and in the FST Library\u00a0Thursday afternoons\u00a0between the hours of\u00a03:00-5:00pm.<\/p>\n

Spring 2026 Registration<\/h3>\n

The Spring 2026 course offerings (in-person degree programs) are\u00a0now available<\/a>! Please take some time to review the course offerings and schedule an appointment with your advisor to plan your semester. Advising week is\u00a0November 3- 7, 2025\u00a0and registration will open on\u00a0November 10.<\/p>\n

The Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies will be offering a Spring 2026 course entitled\u00a0Religion, Conflict, and Peace: Examining Religion’s Dual Role in Fueling Violence and Fostering Peace\u00a0on Thursday afternoons.<\/p>\n

The course will explore different frames through which religion can be viewed and treated\u2014religious literacy, pluralism, secularism, and religion as an evolving system of knowledge and practice. The course examines intersections between religion, science, politics, development, and civilization-building in studying its role in conflict and peace.<\/p>\n

Discuss this with your advisor and consult Oliver Mamangun if you wish to enroll in this class.<\/p>\n
